Description

Feeding equipment lines:
Barns are equipped with special equipment to provide fodder for birds. There are several types of feeders used for this purpose, manual or automatic. Manual feeders are no longer used except on a small scale, in some small farms. As for automatic feeders, there are currently two types that are widespread and used in poultry farms: automatic chain feeders (chains), in which the feeder consists of a number of straight metal runners mounted on floor stands or suspended by steel wires through which they can be raised or lowered according to the level of the bird’s back, and extend inside them. A chain (chain), whose travel and speed are controlled by an electric motor, to transport the feed from the tank to the ducts connected to it and extending along the length of the barn. The distance of feed required for the birds varies according to the age and type of birds, whether they are broilers, broilers, or chickens that produce table eggs.
There are automatic spiral tube feeders with dishes, which consist of tube-shaped ducts, through which the feed passes to be poured into dishes suspended along the ducts. The manufacturers’ instructions are taken into account to determine the number of birds per dish, according to the type of birds raised, whether they are mothers, broilers, or chickens that produce table eggs. .
In feeding broilers, it is preferable to use tube feeders with plates rather than chain feeders, while chain feeders are usually used for feeding broilers.
