Description

hicken eggs are incubated in hatcheries of various sizes, under specific environmental conditions of temperature, humidity, ventilation, and turning.

Hatcheries consist of incubators, which are machines resembling small rooms. They provide the suitable environment of temperature, humidity, ventilation, and turning necessary for egg incubation, which typically lasts for 18 days. Modern models are automated, with functions controlled automatically and capable of being fully automated. The incubators can accommodate a specific number of trays, and their capacity varies between models, with some capable of holding more than 150,000 eggs.

Hatcheries are usually classified based on inputs into single-stage or multi-stage. In contrast to incubators, hatchers have trays replaced by baskets, allowing chicks to hatch and move freely on their flat surface after emerging from the eggs.
